All societies are made up of men and women. Numerous writers and philosophers have reflected on the issue of equality or inequality between men and women.
A Roman emperor, Marcus Aurelius, nicknamed The Wise, a follower of Stoic philosophy, at the end of his life dedicated himself to putting in writing in Greek, his reflections on human nature in twelve volumes and affirmed the following: “Well, we were born to collaborate, like the feet, hands, eyelids, rows of teeth, upper and lower. In this doctrine each person was considered essential as a member of a universal family, ideas that helped to break down regional, social and racial barriers, at that time, and a few years have passed.
According to them, stoicism is the ability or willpower of an individual, to control their feelings and to be able to stand firm in the face of adversity or life’s setbacks.
Nowadays it has become fashionable to defend the rights of women, and their empowerment, which is not for nothing, but it is a masculine name, which does not bother me in the least, and which means, the acquisition of power or independence by a disadvantaged social group to improve their situation.
And what are governments doing to achieve this empowerment?
What disadvantaged groups of unflappable men and women, who are in the queues of hunger, do they help?
In our country, new ministries, general secretariats, advisers left and right have been created to place family members, friends and acquaintances, as has always happened, whose effectiveness is very doubtful, if not null, and they are dedicated not to solve the underlying problems that arise, but to divide men and women. And they are doing it.
And what is more serious, many of those who lead them live in a continuous contradiction.
Of course, we must help abused people, women and men of the universal family of which all without exception are part and without trying to confront each other. That is the only way there is
