The National Communications Agency (Enacom) reported that, as of this Friday, the Basic Universal and Mandatory Benefit (PBU) for mobile, fixed, Internet and cable TV services came into force.
This benefit was determined through the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) 690/20, which established a minimum service of 150 pesos for mobile telephony.
The purpose of the decree was to guarantee the human right of access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) through any of its platforms, which required the establishment of rules by the State to ensure equitable, fair and affordable use. reasonable.
Who can access
Beneficiaries of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and the Pregnancy Allowance, as well as their sons and daughters between 16 and 18 years old, and members of their family group, may choose to join the PBU; Beneficiaries of Non-Contributive Pensions who receive gross monthly income not exceeding two (2) minimum vital and mobile wages.
The benefit extends to neighborhood clubs, voluntary firefighter associations and public welfare entities.

The PBU “pursues the horizon of the expansion of rights established by the national government as a general guideline to ensure that all Argentine men and women enjoy the same opportunities,” the entity said.
