The United States will send the most powerful armored vehicle to Ukraine

Weapons Support… Strengthen ground warfare capabilities
Belarus: Ukrainian missile shot down

The US is known to be considering supplying Bradley armored vehicles to Ukraine following Patriot air defense missiles as Russia launched its biggest offensive since invading Ukraine. It serves to improve Ukraine’s ground warfare capabilities. Russia’s ally Belarus has come under pressure, claiming it shot down a Ukrainian missile that fell on its territory.

Bloomberg reported on the 29th (local time), citing sources, that the United States is considering offering Bradley armored vehicles to Ukraine. The Bradley armored personnel carrier is equipped with a 25 mm cannon and TOW anti-tank missiles and has light tank class combat capabilities. Unlike the M113 armored personnel carrier that the United States has previously supplied to Ukraine, the Bradley armored personnel carrier can withstand Russian tanks. With the prospect that Russia may once again engage in ground warfare when spring arrives on the battlefield and the weather clears, it is analyzed that the Bradley armored vehicle can play an important role at this time. Former White House defense budget analyst Mark Kansian said: “The United States has a lot of Bradley armored vehicles, so there will be no problems with supply.” The US government has not yet made a final decision. Even if it did, it could take several months to deploy as the Ukrainian military needs training to handle it.

On the morning of the same day, Russia launched another massive missile strike across Ukraine. Ukraine said it shot down 54 Russian missiles and shot down 11 drones. Power grids have been damaged in key cities such as Kiev, Kharkiv and Odessa, causing power outages. Russia resumed air strikes on Kiiu from dawn on the 30th.

Belarus, which is under pressure from Russia to join the war, announced on the 29th that it had shot down a Ukrainian S-300 missile that had flown into its territory and summoned the Ukrainian ambassador to protest. Ukraine’s defense ministry said it was ready to respond to the experts’ investigation, but said it “doesn’t rule out the possibility that this was an intentional provocation by Russia”.
