United States taxpayers still have time to file their 2022 state taxes. In turn, they may be eligible for a tax refund of up to $400.00 USD. What is necessary to qualify for this direct payment? Here we tell you.
The financial aid will be in two main ways, one of them is through payments of $200.00 USD and the other through the limit of $400.00 USD. In this case, eligible residents are from the state of Virginia. To qualify for this tax refund, the tax return must be submitted before the deadline, November 1.
The distribution of payments will be as follows. Refunds of $200.00 USD will go to those filing taxes individually. Meanwhile, those who do it together will receive a financial aid of $400.00 USD.
On the subject, the Virginia Department of Taxes reported that it has not yet established the schedule to execute the refunds. How taxpayer eligibility will be determined will also be announced within a few days.
Annual budget
The aforementioned tax refund was approved from the annual budget of the state of Virginia. In fact, Governor Glenn Youngkin himself signed the law in September. The executive reminded its residents that they still have time to file their taxes and be eligible for this direct payment.
“As Virginians continue to face inflation and high prices, these refunds are an important step for the holiday season. “This will help conserve more of your hard-earned money for gasoline, groceries and essential items,” the governor highlighted.
“My administration has provided more than $5 billion in tax relief to Virginians. We remain committed to lowering the cost of living for Virginia’s working families and veterans. It’s their money, not the government’s,” Youngkin explained. In 2022, Virginia taxpayers got direct payments of up to $500.00 USD.
