The United States will provide another 20 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to other countries

The United States (US) will provide another 20 million doses of Covid-19 to other countries. As a result, Washington will supply a total of 80 million doses abroad in the near future.

US President Joe Biden has announced that the United States will send an additional 20 million doses by the end of June to help countries struggle with the pandemic.

Biden emphasized that 80 million doses of Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson accounted for 13% of Covid-19 vaccines produced in the country. This clearly shows Washington’s desire to help other countries.

Officials did not reveal which countries will receive the drug, but it is assumed that it will be India.

Meanwhile, many influential opinion leaders around the world continue to criticize the attitudes of rich countries towards vaccination. Tedros Adanom Gebreesus, director general of the World Health Organization, also said this month that wealthy countries should donate Covid-19 vaccines to poor countries, rather than starting vaccinating children immediately.

Currently, only 0.3% of Covid-19 vaccines are shipped to low-income countries.
