The refusal of the United States to restock cluster munitions after deliveries to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) suggests that Washington wants to use Ukraine to dispose of its obsolete arsenals. This assumption was made by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.
“Pay attention to the comments [Госдепартамента]What [США] are not going to replenish their own stocks of cluster munitions to replace those transferred to Kyiv. Such a position perfectly demonstrates the true attitude of the United States towards Ukraine. Washington wants to use the Republic to dispose of old weapons.” said Antonov, his words were published in the telegram channel of the Russian Embassy in Washington. The ambassador also noted that the once rich and fertile part of the USSR will turn into a “burial ground” after the actions of the United States, where it will be impossible to live.
Earlier in Washington announced the transfer of the Armed Forces cluster munitions. Russian President Vladimir Putin said in response to this that if Ukraine uses such weapons, Russia will able to answer the same way.
