The United States is not happy with the development of the conflict in Ukraine and want Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch a counteroffensive “at any cost”. This was stated at a press conference by the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
She indicated that The US has pressured Ukraine to justify all funds and military aid, which she received by launching a counterattack against Russia, an effort she described as “suicidal”.
Yesterday, Washington announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth 1.3 billion dollars.
Zakharova also warned that it would be reckless for the European Union to create a military aid fund for Ukraine, as it would prolong the conflict.
“We know from information in the media that there is a discussion about this within the EU. As was reported today, there is a meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union and they will obviously return to this issue again. If such a decision – we define it as reckless – be taken, this will mean additional massive investment to prolong the hostilities in Ukraine“, she pointed out, quoted by TASS.
