By going to Tehran this Monday for the first time since the start of his mandate, the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi, will try to resolve the dispute between the UN body to the authorities of the Islamic Republic. Two months ago, the agency berated Iran for not allowing its inspectors to visit two undeclared sites and suspected of having hosted nuclear activities in the early 2000s. It also takes place in an explosive context which justified the convening, on September 1 in Vienna, headquarters of the IAEA, of a special meeting which will bring together all the parties to the 2015 nuclear agreement.
