Representatives of the US government took into account the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin about the likely involvement of the United States in the incident with the British destroyer Defender in the Black Sea. Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to Washington, spoke about this.

According to the Russian leader, this was a complex provocation carried out with the participation of the United States. He said that before the Defender entered the territorial waters of the Russian Federation, an American strategic plane took off from one of the NATO airfields.
As noted by Antonov on the YouTube channel “Soloviev Live”, Washington did not publicly admit its participation in the incident with the British destroyer Defender. At the same time, the Russian ambassador to the United States is confident that the special services and officials paid attention to Putin’s words.

Antonov repeated that the signal from the Russian leader was “read by the relevant departments.”
