WASHINGTONDecember 26 – The United States is concerned about China’s military activity near Taiwan, calling it “provocative” and “destabilizing”.
“We will continue to help Taiwan maintain sufficient self-defense capability, in line with our long-standing commitments and consistent with our One China policy,” the White House National Security Council said in a statement released Monday.
Seventy-one Chinese Air Force aircraft, including fighters and drones, entered Taiwan’s air defense identification zone in the past 24 hours, the island’s government said on Monday, in the largest incursion to date.
