The US is concerned about the death sentence three foreign citizens in the so-called “DPR” and called on Russia to comply with humanitarian law.
About it wrote US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Twitter.
“We are seriously concerned about reports of a sham ‘trial’ and sentences against combatants who lawfully serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We call on Russia and its forces to respect international humanitarian law, including the rights and protection afforded to prisoners of war,” the message says.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that the “trial” of British citizens in occupied Donetsk is insignificant and has a propagandistic character.
