Several states plan to deliver stimulus checks during the current month of September. Specifically, three of them have already launched financial aid to their eligible residents. The lucky ones, for now, are the residents of Washington, Minnesota and New Mexico. In the United States, even after the complex time of the Covid-19 pandemic, both the federal and state governments have proposed direct economic aid. These financial benefits benefit each eligible family, as they allow them to purchase basic household products.
The 3 states that pay directly in September
In Washington, for example, those who meet the requirements established by the state will take home up to $1,200.00 USD in tax credits. Its residents still have time to claim this payment, the deadline is the last day of this year.
The Social Security number or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) will be required. Additionally, they will ask for a copy of your federal tax return and other personal information.
In the state of Minnesota, tax refunds have already been issued since last August. There is still time for those who meet the requirements to qualify. Payments reach up to $1,300.00 USD.
In the case of married couples filing jointly, they could receive up to $520.00 USD. Meanwhile, those who file individually will obtain income of $260.00 USD. They will receive the same amount for each dependent, up to a limit of three.
Finally, New Mexico implements tax refunds for local citizens. The state’s governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham, also provided direct payments to those not required to file tax returns.
Married couples filing jointly may receive a tax refund of up to $1,000.00 USD. Meanwhile, what they present individually will receive a grant of $500.00 USD.
The refund will be automatic if you reside in New Mexico, meet the requirements and filed your 2021 tax return.
