Created to provide a stage for young musicians, the 4 seasons classical music festival begins its 8th edition next Saturday in Lausanne. Four concerts, each dedicated to a country, are scheduled until next October.
The first concert is devoted to the United States with compositions by Leonard Bernstein, Steve Reich and Amy Beach in particular. The different instruments (violin and piano, but also brass quintet and percussion) “will harmonize to paint a musical portrait of the United States”, indicate the organizers of the festival in their press release.
After the United States, the festival will continue its world tour on May 28 (Denmark), September 3 (Hungary) and October 29 (Brazil). The festival is moving this year to the Paderewski room of the Casino de Montbenon in order to accommodate more audiences. Access to the concerts remains free.
