The United States crosses the threshold of 100,000 deaths from Covid-19

The United States crossed the 100,000 mark on Wednesday from the new coronavirus, a record significantly higher than any other country in the world, according to Johns Hopkins University. The country now records nearly 1.7 million cases, according to the count of this university.

A third of the dead in New York State

According to an average of several epidemiological models carried out by researchers at the University of Massachusetts, the number of deaths from Covid-19 is expected to be around 123,000 deaths in the country by June 20. The White House had counted on an estimate of between 100,000 and 240,000 dead.
