Unopened and thawed bottle of vaccine can be stored at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees.
If the temperature is higher than that, the vaccine can only be stored for five days.
Director of the FDA’s Center for Biological Evaluation. and Research, Peter Marks welcomes that.
“These changes should be able to make vaccines more widely available,” said Peter Marks.
This change is particularly important for global and remote facilities in the US.
