Several states in the United States of America are stopping providing financial aid to their inhabitants. However, there are some, like Arizona, that are starting financial support programs for residents in the form of stimulus checks.
Politicians in that state have proposed offering a refund of taxes to nearly one million taxpayers. The initiative is known as the Arizona Families Tax Rebate.
This program was presented in the analysis of the year’s budget at the beginning of 2023. The plan was requested by the Arizona Freedom Caucus group, which is made up of ultra-conservatives.
To implement the monetary contribution, few aspects remain to be reviewed. The state Department of Revenue reported that 743 thousand citizens will benefit from these stimulus checks.
Residents must meet some requirements for the stimulus check
Those interested in collecting the money had to live in Arizona in the year they requested the dependent person tax credit. Users also have to know that the requested year corresponds to 2021 and must be reflected in the tax return.
The population that wants to access this government contribution cannot have debts for tax obligations for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021. Residents who are selected to obtain these finances will have the right to collect for three dependent family members.
For each household member under 17 years of age, the amount to be delivered is $250.00 USD. Adults who are responsible for people over 17 years of age may deposit $100.00 USD.
Households will have the opportunity to reach up to $750.00 USD. The deadline to submit tax information for citizens who wish to receive the dollars will expire on November 17 of the current year.
Arizona authorities will distribute the checks during 2024. To guarantee this action, the state has an excess of revenue over expenses of more than $2 billion.
