At the Central American level, El Salvador ranks fourth in wasting food. Firstly, Guatemala has the highest amount of wasted food at more than 1.6 million tons annually, then Honduras with 940,257, Nicaragua with 626,538, Costa Rica with 473,131 and Panama with 445,347.
