At ten o’clock in the morning, the concentration promoted by the unions against the ERE raised by Banco Sabadell began in Alicante, on Avenida Oscar Esplá.
In front of the entity’s headquarters, located in Alicante, a hundred people have once again asked the entity to open up negotiations and propose alternatives to avoid the dismissal of 1,900 workers.
According to the unions, in Alicante they calculate the closure of 44 offices and that it affects 237 workers of the workforce of the network of offices in the province.
Within the calendar of mobilizations, on September 28, the unions will again concentrate in Alicante. Likewise, on October 4 they plan to call a 15-minute strike in branches and work centers, and the next day another strike, this one of one hour.
Patricia Carrillo, CCOO representative and Laura García, from UGT, in the Hoy por Hoy Alicante microphones, have once again spoken of a “wild” and “abusive” ERE.
They insist that companies that give benefits, cannot make a readjustment of this draft, which also has repercussions in the service to citizens and in which towns are left without supplies.
We must work on the alternatives, that there are, they defend and make a call for participation in the next calls. They intend to call a strike, accompanied by protests in the street, on October 6 and 8.
