The name of the Egyptian artist, Sherine Abdel Wahab, has depopulated in the past few hours on social networks.
This happened after the Egyptian artist, Sherine Abdel Wahab, raised the controversy after appearing in a video clip accompanied by her husband and daughter, while dancing hysterically.
The video was shot in a nightclub in Lebanon and shows Sherine with her husband and daughter, accompanied by several friends.
Sherine flirted with her husband, Hossam Habib, and then started dancing, to the tune of his famous song “Ah Ya Lail”, while she was ecstatic and in a state of extreme happiness, and it escalated to get on the table and continue dancing, while continuing to flirt with Hossam, prompting many to confirm that she was not fully conscious.
For its part, the Syndicate of Music Professions in Egypt has confirmed that it cannot take any action against Sherine Abdel Wahhab because of this video, because it was on a special occasion and was not performing a paragraph on stage or attending a concert .
Dr Mohamed Abdallah, the union’s official spokesman, told Cairo 24: “We knew that Sherine Abdel Wahhab was dancing hysterically in a nightclub, but we dressed up like the audience, so we can’t make a decision to stop or relocate for investigation.”
He added: ‘Her lawyer will say she was not on stage performing a singing segment, and this is her personal behaviour, and the union cannot punish her for that.
He continued, “If Sherine Abdel Wahhab was on stage and practicing music and singing and union affiliated and doing this behavior, we would have made a decision here to prevent, but we are not Sherine’s guardians.”
Abdullah felt that “punishment from the public will be harsher than any union decision, and when the public criticizes, the singer gets very angry, unlike the union decision for a while and it will end and life will go back to the way it was.”
Sherine Abdel Wahhab has recently returned to her husband, Hossam Habib, after a separation crisis that has had the media and social networking sites buzzing.
On a technical level, Sherine Abdel Wahab is preparing to give a concert in Kuwait on Thursday 12 January, after it was scheduled last October.
The concert in Kuwait, held at the Arena Theater, is the first for the Egyptian artist after an absence of several months, due to personal circumstances and her recent crisis.
