In Trondheim, around 2,200 teachers and nurses may be on strike from Wednesday.
– The announced escalation of the strike will have immediate and major consequences for the offer in schools, kindergartens, home services and at health and welfare centers in Trondheim municipality, the municipality writes in a press release on Tuesday.
Only a few of the schools will be able to offer teaching, and where this will be given, it will only apply to certain school levels. At most schools, SFO will also be affected.
Applying for exemptions
– We are now continuously working to apply to the unions for exemptions where we believe there may be danger to life and health, says organizational director Elin Rognes Solbu in Trondheim municipality.
In Oslo, around 1,900 Unio members may be on strike from Wednesday, at kindergartens, schools, health institutions and libraries, as well as several Nav offices and the administration in several districts.
In Bergen, around 1,750 employees in the municipality may be on strike from Wednesday. Both schools, kindergartens, the Pedagogical-Psychological Center (PPS), nursing homes, home services and administration are affected by the strike.
– We are working to get an overview and map the consequences of the announced escalation and will assess where it will be necessary to apply for a dispensation, with regard to health and safety, says communications director Eva Hille at the municipality websites.
Keeps the corona outside
Unio has announced that across the country, 20,760 members will be on strike from Wednesday.
However, everything that affects the handling of the corona pandemic will not be affected by the strike.
Unio went on strike on Thursday last week because they thought the offer from KS for a framework of 2.8 percent in the wage settlement was too bad.
