The UNI2 International Theater Festival begins in El Barrio

This week starts the UNI2 Theater Festival at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center in El Barrio.

The event brings together various small-format theatrical works that are presented throughout the 10 days of the festival.

This show celebrates 20 years on stage.

This year’s edition will feature the presence of the Mexican monologue The missing child by the author Francisco Hinojosa.

Stephen Castellanosactor and director of the montage, said in this regard: “I think it is a montage that has a connotation and above all a relevance, at this time, because of what happened in both countries: the massacres and organized crime in Mexico. It will give us a lot I’m glad to be able to share this work with you, because our staging is turning 20 years old, this 2022”.

As it is an international festival, its organizers invite productions from various countries to perform at the Miriam Colón Theater in Upper Manhattan.
