The Unexpected Mistake in Star Wars: A Scene You Can’t Forget

There is no film that can do without mistakes or unexpected incidents. Many of them remain undiscovered for a long time, but once you see them, you can’t get them out of your head. Like a scene from Star Wars.

Mistakes are a part of cinema and filmmaking. And since there are quite often minor and major blunders during filming, there are people who have made it their job to track down these mistakes in the cinema or home cinema. Sometimes, however, it is quite astonishing what the audience in the main hall misses when they are really captivated by a film.

For example, in “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”. There’s a scene here that’s one of those ones you just can’t forget once you’ve seen it. Of course, this doesn’t make the film any worse, instead this moment even gives the nasty stormtroopers a little humanity – and always makes for a hearty laugh. We’re talking about the moment when one of the stormtroopers hits his skull on a door (can be found in the film around 1:22:00 minutes).

Terrific: not only can you see the fax pause, you can also hear it. And for a few seconds you can even witness how the warrior in the name of the empire tries to adjust his helmet again.

Film mistakes do not necessarily make a film worse

We should all be aware that films are not perfect. Even if we often have the feeling that this or that masterpiece is absolutely perfect in form, small weak points can still be found again and again, which show that in the end it was “only” people who went to work here.

Even if you pay attention to this scene every time you watch “Star Wars IV”, it ultimately doesn’t change the quality of the milestone. On the contrary: this moment underlines how much “Star Wars” knew how to captivate us in the past. Because many of us will certainly have missed this short lapse.

There isn’t a movie in the big wide world that is completely flawless. The most common mistakes are continuity errors. Within a scene, for example, the length of a cigarette can change rapidly, or the level of liquid in a glass that was just empty but is half full the next moment. This is often due to the fact that the scenes are joined together in the montage, but are not captured chronologically during the shooting process.

This grandiose movie mistake was discovered years later in “Jurassic Park” – and it’s pretty obvious!
