The Uncharted film finally seems to be on the right course: After the project was slowed down by numerous setbacks, the work is now going to be very successful. Nevertheless, there are possible pitfalls that the blockbuster could fall into. We tell you which mistakes the uncharted adaptation should avoid.
The uncharted adaptation has been through a lot: The film has been in the planning for many years and since then the director has been changed a total of 6 times. Fans of the video game series will surely be pleased that the blockbuster finally seems to have fled production hell. Tom Holland, one of the two main stars, already shared the first pictures from the film set. Holland will appear as Nathan Drake, while Mark Wahlberg will act as mentor Victor Sullivan.
So, although it is finally moving on, there are many possible mistakes the film could make. For example, many see the great similarity between Uncharted and Indiana Jones. Of course, Uncharted should take a different direction if possible in order to differ sufficiently from the classic. The focus should be on the two main characters Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan. After all, its history and relationship to one another is also at the center of the video games.
Without a doubt, there are also numerous action scenes in the template that should not be missing in the adaptation. Another aspect should not be neglected: the adventurous curiosity and the interest in the search for ancient treasures. After all, it is these factors that have made Uncharted such a celebrated franchise.
To accomplish this, the two main characters in particular should be played convincingly. Doubtless both Wahlberg and Holland have plenty of experience. Fans of the video game series will have to decide for themselves whether they embody Victor Sullivan or Nathan Drake convincingly enough. According to the current status, Uncharted is set to launch in cinemas on July 15, 2021. What do you hope for from the adventure blockbuster?
