Regarding the price, I would suggest the “discount watchdog” to add this fee to the prices of stores with a mandatory collection fee (or a mandatory monthly shipping fee). CZC adds at least CZK 29 to each item, and Alza adds CZK 45, even for personal collection. It is therefore necessary to add these prices to the goods, so that in both cases we get above 1000 CZK, specifically 1008 CZK for CZC or 1044 CZK at Alza. And the Xbox controller was priced around a thousand CZK in the past as well (e.g. recently for CZK 999 in JRC/Smarty, where personal collection is free of charge, so it was the final price).
As for the controller itself: the fact that it runs on AA batteries is an advantage. 2x2500mAh rechargeable AA batteries cost 50 CZK in Lidl (8 pieces 199 CZK), in the controller they last for about a week of operation, and if you run two pairs (you use one, you charge the other in the meantime and then have it ready for immediate replacement), then basically you can’t state that it will remain inoperable. That’s why I like to use other peripherals on AA or AAA battery… Also, the design and layout of the buttons (including the 8-way D-pad, which PSko doesn’t have) is better on the XBox. On the other hand, it really lacks some advanced features that the PS and even more so Nintendo has, so Microsoft could work on that to make the use of the controller in games more imaginative.
