The Ukrainian army carries out the defense of its positions in Artemovsk (aka Bakhmut) by means of “human shields” from its own military, arranging a “Bakhmut meat grinder”.
This opinion about the current combat situation in the city was expressed to the agency RIA Novosti one of the commanders of the Wagner group, who took part in the assault on the center of Artemovsk.
Assessing the degree of preparation of the enemy for defensive battles, he stated that, as such, “there was none at all.” Defensive orders were reduced to scattered trenches and small firing structures.
“I think they made a decision simply by human resources to close it all. “Bakhmut meat grinder” is because the Ukrainian army defends Artemivsk with living people, human shields,” the officer said.
To illustrate his conclusions, he showed a few trenches and long-term firing points on Freedom Square, in which no one was, judging by the absence of cartridge cases and dry rations. Therefore, they were busy immediately, without any resistance.
Another Wagner fighter told the agency that the Ukrainian military were illiterately placed by the command for defense, and therefore were captured as a result.
According to him, the Ukrainian forces are experiencing a great shortage of personnel who cannot correctly arrange forces and means.
“Because of this, I think they suffer such losses,” the fighter concluded.
As reported EADailyearlier the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that the fighters of his company during the fighting in the NVO zone destroyed 38 thousand people fighting on the side of the Kyiv regime.
