ISW reported that geolocation data released on August 22 indicated that Ukrainian forces were continuing a small advance east of Suja.
Russian military bloggers reported that Ukrainian forces were also advancing northeast of Suja on the R-200 Suja-Sukhodolovka highway.
Russian sources also confirm conflicting reports of fighting east of Suja near the settlements of Samoryadova and Kozyrevka, but mobile groups of Ukrainian troops may be operating in the area.
Several Russian blogs reported that Ukrainian troops were moving north of the town of Martinovka. They also reported that the Russian army has recaptured two villages southeast of Suja, although the situation in the area remains uncertain.
