University of Indonesia Student (UI) initials MPD died after allegedly jumping from the 18th floor of an apartment in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. It turned out that MPD had posted an apology on social media Instagram before jumping.
“Then also, before committing suicide, I apologized for posting on the IG story,” said the Head of the Kebayoran Baru Police, Kompol Tribuana Roseno, when contacted, Saturday (11/3/2023).
MPD jumped from the 18th floor on Wednesday (8/3) early morning.
“It is true that there was an incident where people jumped from the 18th floor apartment in Kebayoran Baru,” said Tribuana.
Previously reported, the UI also confirmed this incident. UI conveys its condolences.
“Innalillahi wainaillaihi rojiun. We express our sincere and deep condolences for the passing of our dear Ananda, our student from FISIP UI, a member of the UI academic community,” said Amelita when confirmed, Saturday (11/3).
“We can only convey this. Beyond that, it is not our capacity to respond. That is what we can say. We wish him the best,” he added.
