The UAE calls for wisdom and dialogue to prevail

The Emirates said that Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, made a phone call with Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, in which he discussed developments in the Sudanese arena and the relationship between the two countries.
During the call, the Vice President of the UAE discussed with the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council the relations of cooperation between the two countries, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed affirmed in this context the UAE’s keenness to support all peaceful political solutions and initiatives aimed at stopping the escalation and ending the crisis in Sudan, in a way that contributes to strengthening its stability and security, and fulfills the aspirations of His people to development and prosperity, stressing the necessity of giving priority to the voice of wisdom and peaceful dialogue, upholding the supreme interests of Sudan, and preserving its security and stability.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation for the facilities that were made available for the process of evacuating the nationals of the UAE and many countries of the world from Sudan.
For his part, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s positions and its keenness on Sudan’s stability, security and peace, stressing mutual keenness to enhance joint cooperation to serve the interests of the two countries.
In addition, the second evacuation plane from Sudan arrived in the UAE, carrying 136 passengers from the UAE, diplomats and nationals from 9 countries.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the second evacuation plane carries the most needy groups of patients, children, the elderly and women, as part of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts to enhance international solidarity and cooperation, and the UAE will host them on its lands, and provide them with all services prior to their transfer to their countries.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed the UAE’s commitment to providing aid and assistance to countries in times of need, noting work with its partners and the international community to achieve everything that serves the interests of the Sudanese people.
It is noteworthy that an evacuation plane had arrived yesterday in the UAE, carrying a number of citizens and nationals of 16 countries coming from Sudan, which has been witnessing clashes since the middle of this month.
