Dubai: The UAE will resume land, sea and air links with Qatar tomorrow (Saturday), according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This was reported by Wam, the official news agency of the UAE. UAE Minister of State for External Affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash had said yesterday that the relationship would be restored within a week.
The decision to resume bilateral relations with Qatar was taken at the GCC summit held in Al Ula, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia yesterday. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt severed ties with Qatar in 2017. It has also decided to freeze the cases filed by Qatar against the UAE. Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Khalid Abdullah Belhoul said other issues with Qatar would be discussed and resolved soon.
