In his intervention, His Excellency Al Owais emphasized the need for an integrated approach and coordination at all levels to address climate change, as health systems play a vital role in this regard, highlighting the importance how to improve health infrastructure and make it more flexible and proactive. , and developing comprehensive policies aimed at addressing the environmental, social and economic causes that contribute to increasing health risks due to climate change, and providing equal health care for the largest groups is affected.

The UAE is aware of the deep link between climate change and health, and seeks to develop health systems with the capacity to respond to climate crises, focusing on national adaptation plans that include early warning systems and assessments of exposure to climate risks. By strengthening cross-border cooperation, the UAE seeks to ensure an effective response to diseases caused by climate change, which may affect certain groups and not others.
