The day after the OL U19s, the U17s learned who their opponent will be for the quarter-finals of the championship play-offs. Amaury Barlet’s players will host Angers on Sunday May 22.
Lyon-style training is doing well and can only prove Jean-Michel right Classes in its desire to rely on the Academy in the years to come. In addition to the Gambardella Cup title, the Lyon U19s finished first in their pool and will face Brestnext Sunday in the quarter-finals of the play-offs of the French championship.
Eric’s Players Hely are not the only ones from the Academy to still be in the running for the national title since the U17s will also play in the play-offs of the French championship in the category. Like their elders, the boys of Amaury Barlet finished first in their group and will play their quarter-final at home on Sunday 22 May. The Lyonnais will face Angers before why not be opposed to Ajaccio or Strasbourg in case of qualification for the semi-finals.
