Starting on the 28th, the U.S. is obligated to submit a negative coronavirus infection (Corona 19) for all passengers on flights departing from the UK.

According to Reuters on the 24th (local time), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) made a statement on the day that all passengers departing from the United Kingdom to the United States received a negative Corona 19 test within 72 hours before departure, Yonhap News reported.

This measure is due to the outbreak of Corona 19 in the UK, and will take effect from the 28th. Accordingly, all persons entering the United States through the United Kingdom must submit a negative confirmation in electronic or paper form after receiving a negative test by PCR (gene amplification) or antigen test.

In addition, airlines must confirm the negative judgment of all passengers before boarding, and passengers who have not undergone a checkup will be denied boarding.

Regarding the measure, the CDC explained that “the virus continues to mutate, and according to initial analysis in the UK, the new strain is up to 70% more infectious than the existing variant.
