The U-17 draws with Canada – Diario de Centro América

Yesterday the official season start for the national cycling in a circuit that took place on La Reforma and Las Américas avenues.

In addition to the already traditional ones, some new teams and faces were presented to join the different formations, which marked a day full of sporting combativeness, which projects a season full of emotions and competitiveness.

This day allowed the first 15 cyclists in each category to score points for the national ranking.

In the elite male category the winner was Henry Sam, of the Decorabaños team, with a time of 51:43 minutes and accumulated 30 net points for this campaign. At the same time, Alder Torres, from the Municipality of Fraijanes, and José Canastuj, from the Association of Quetzaltenango-Cerámicas Castelli joined.

In the female branchthe winner was Paula Guillenfrom the PPP Development Team, who clocked 32:47 minutes, followed with the same time by Bridgget Lucero Rodríguez, Sub-23, from the San Marcos-Acredicom RL Association, and Sauking Raquel Shi Pimentel, from Team Gravity-Analiza de El Savior.

With the starting signal yesterday, the riders began to add points for the 2023 campaign.
