Slovak hockey players Matej Kašlík and Jakub Demek are no longer continuing in the preparatory camps before the upcoming NHL season. The number of Slovaks in them thus dropped to fifteen.

Nineteen-year-old striker Kašlík did not avoid a cut in the Colorado Avalanche cadre. The club sent him back to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens team in the junior QMJHL, where he was already active last season. At the turn of the year, he also played at the U20 World Championships in Edmonton. Colorado invited him to camp as an undrafted player.

Wing Demek headed from the Vegas Golden Knights training camp to the WHL Edmonton Oil Kings junior team. The 18-year-old player was chosen by the “golden knights” in this year’s draft in the fourth round from 128th place. Last year, the offspring of Košice was also a member of the Slovak national team under 18 years of age.
