Plovdiv District Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against AR, 45, who was brought to court for intentionally killing RA, German citizen, 41, on 05/04/2022 in Stamboliyski – felony pursuant to art. 115 of the penal code.
The two men lived in rented accommodation in Sofia. In 2020, they entered into a civil marriage in Germany, for which they obtained a European marriage certificate. Scandals arose between them, sometimes turning into physical violence.
05/03/2022, the men moved to live in Stamboliyski, in a hereditary house of AR The next day, 05/04/2022, they went to the market, after which they returned home. Under the influence of the alcohol they consumed, the two started arguing, pulling, hitting and hurting each other. AR spontaneously decided to kill the victim, took a knife and realized his intention. He later filed a police report.
The defendant AR has been placed in custody. The Plovdiv District Court is expected to schedule a hearing on the case.
