FC Barcelona is going to have to be very patient if they want Lautaro Martinez blaugrana view next season. Inter Milan do not need to sell their great star and that is why they are being adamant when negotiating for him. The ‘neroazzurro’ claim the 111 million euros that will appear in their termination clause for two weeks in July, but Barça is not willing to pay that much. The culés propose to include players in the operation and in ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ they have revealed new information on the subject.
In the aforementioned Italian newspaper they assure that Inter would have already given two names to Barcelona that they want to enter into the negotiation. The first and great objective of the Italians was Arthur Melo, but the midfielder himself has rejected the proposal and also Barça was not willing to let him go. After that “no”, the Interists would have put two new stickers on the culé table, Nélson Semedo and Carles Aleñá.
Antonio Conte would have chosen these two footballers for his new project at Giuseppe Meazza. The Italian started this past summer and brought important names such as Romelo Lukaku, Diego Godín or Stefano Sensi, and for next year he wants to continue strengthening the team. Both the right-back and the offensive midfielder would be to his liking and for that reason he would give the green light Inter to negotiate for Lautaro if they entered the transfer.
In a system of three centrals and two lanes like the one Conte uses, Semedo could be very useful. The Portuguese has not finished taking the leap in quality expected at Barça, but with that freedom he could become one of the best in the world. He is very fast, technically he is a good player and defensively, although he does not shine, playing with three defenders that would not be noticed.
At case of selling to Portuguese, the Catalans would be forced to buy another side, since they would remain alone with Sergi Roberto. One option could be to go for Emerson, who will be officially Blaugrana in 2021. The Brazilian has a contract with Betis until that year, but could already come paying compensation. The fact that he occupies a position as a non-community member is the only thing that backs down, since Lautaro would also occupy it, like Arthur Melo, and the third would be reserved for Neymar Jr.
Aleñá should be important next season
Covering Aleñá’s loss would be much easier, since Riqui Puig is in the subsidiary and Pedri will arrive from Las Palmas. The one from Mataró is on loan at Betis until the end of the course and he was called to be important next year because of the presumable exits of Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal.
