The two babies who were returned to their biological parents yesterday were switched at birth at the Sheynovo clinic, lawyer and specialist in family law Yordanka Bekirska announced in the program “The Day Begins with Georgi Ljubenov” on BNT.
Until now, it was thought that the replacement occurred at a subsequent meeting between the babies and the mothers.
The families who looked after other people’s children for 4 months, but settled out of court after DNA tests, will probably sue the Municipality of Stolichna, which is the principal of “Sheynovo”, said lawyer Bekirska.
The amount of the claim has not yet been disclosed.
