After two years of current affairs at the federal level (2019 and 2020), King Philippe is relaunching the tradition of ennobles on the occasion of the National Day. From good sources, Free learns that the royal decree, which formalizes the ennobling of twelve personalities, has been signed. Initially, it was supposed to be released on July 20. Due to the floods and the national mourning, however, the Palace deemed “indelicate” to maintain the publication date. This formality could take place on November 15 on the occasion of the King’s Day if the Royal Palace and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sophie Wilmès (MR), agree on this deadline. The new nobles were informed of the decisions taken, as they had to accept this honor before the decree was signed. It is up to us that Philippe once again wished to promote nobility of heart (humanitarian) or exceptional backgrounds. The King is catching up a little by ennobling more citizens than in the years before current affairs (7 to 8 new nobles per year).
