– President Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, senior aide to the White House, called the protesters who invaded the U.S. Capitol and caused violence as “patriots,” but quickly removed the controversy. A whopping four people died in the protests.
On the 6th (local time), Ivanka tweeted, “American patriots. No security breach or disrespectful attitude towards law enforcement is tolerated. Violence must stop,” he wrote. It was retweeting a message from his father, President Trump, asking the protesters to “be in peace.”
In disagreement with the results of the presidential election, Ivanka quickly deleted the tweet after controversy about referencing those who blocked the final confirmation process of Joe Biden’s victory with violence as’patriots’. However, the tweet was already captured. US citizens shared on Twitter, saying, “I deleted Bancar, but here is the picture.”
CNN reporter Kate Bennett asked Ivanka, “Is the protesters’patriots’?”, and aide Lee Bangka said, “No. The peaceful protests are patriotic.”
On this day, pro-Trump protesters entered the Capitol to prevent a joint meeting of the House and Senate to certify the presidential election of Democratic Democrat Joe Biden. Members of the lawmakers, frightened by the threatening actions of the protesters, such as breaking the conference hall windows, took refuge under the chairs. Four protesters were killed and 52 were arrested by police shots.
President Trump urged the protesters to “go home” 90 minutes after the lawmakers evacuated, but “I love you. I know your pain. “We have a stolen election,” he faced accusations that he encouraged protests.
