Lisa Ajax, 25, defied the odds and made it straight to the final in Melodifestivalen’s first competition in Malmö with the entry “Awful liar”.
– I was very surprised, but extremely happy. It kind of hasn’t landed. When I get to meet my family, my boyfriend and friends then it will land. Then you get a little distance from everything, she tells Expressen after the success.
Lisa Ajax, who is 22 weeks pregnant, hopes it won’t affect her final numbers in mid-March.
– I hope I can do it just like this week. But if you need to adapt because I might get more tired for some reason, then you have to do it with the schedule and so on. But on stage it will be the same, she says.
“That sounds absolutely insane”
In connection with Ajax’s performance on Saturday, Gothenburg-Posten’s head of culture and former “På spåret” winner Johan Hilton wrote a post on X that has now been deleted.
“There’s a heavily pregnant twelve-year-old singing on my TV.”
Something that makes Lisa Ajax react.
– I can not take it. It sounds absolutely insane. I think everyone thinks that … sorry, but I think there is something seriously wrong with people who can jump on a pregnant woman who is just trying to spread joy, and entertainment. I think it’s absolutely insane, and I think the vast majority do. It’s nothing that I listen to, says the artist about the post.
– Then that person gets to like it, she adds.
The post was later removed.

Johan Hilton: Pointless conflict
In connection with her breakthrough in “Idol” in 2014, Lisa Ajax had to endure online hate directed at her appearance. She has talked in several interviews about the reactions she constantly encounters online.
– I don’t intend to continue living with my life being about looking a certain way, Lisa Ajax has previously told The evening paper in an interview.
– People have always commented on my height and when I was younger I thought it was difficult. People could ask if I was a dwarf or say I looked younger than I was. But I only get this long, it’s not something I can do anything about, the artist has also told SvD.
Expressen has searched for Johan Hilton, who will return in an s, writes Johan Hilton.
