Samsung is revolutionizing cinema-like devices, even outdoors
Last year we had to spend a lot more time at home than before, when we came home from work and had time to mainly watch some TV. Today, however, we work, play sports, have fun, play games from home. And we no longer need to buy a device for each of these activities.
Because the new Samsung Neo QLED TV with 8K resolution is designed not only for watching TV, it is a way of life. And he becomes the main character, who changes the rules of the game, allowing us to do everything from one device. It was officially presented on Tuesday by Dimitar Valev – Head of Television Devices and Krassimir Datsov, Product Manager of Television Devices at Samsung Bulgaria.
In addition to convenience, the revolutionary TV brings us the latest technology. This is the product that for the first time shows the technologies for Samsung screens developed in the last 5 years – Quantum mini led and Quantum Matrix. They allow much better color management, saturated black and peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits – something no other technology can offer at the moment. How this actually happens – the quantum matrix technology reduces the halos around light objects on a dark background by accurately transmitting white and black color thanks to the innovative miniature LEDs Quantum Mini. QLED Quantum Dot technology is nanosized quantum dots that give 100% color volume – even in the brightest scenes. For the first time, artificial intelligence technology for scaling has been used to give us a detailed image with 8K resolution. At the same time, the TV is super thin – 1.5 or 2.5 cm, depending on the model. The screen is endless – it occupies over 99% of the TV panel.
Neo QLED can connect to our office computer to view your files. If we have to share our documents with colleagues, we can upload them to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud space. Multitasking is becoming a basic skill that we can master more easily with the Samsung DeX option. With it, our smartphone connects to the TV and provides us with a wider and more comfortable view. For the first time, we can open four screens on our TV at the same time, so we don’t miss anything important.
After work comes the turn of fun. Last year, 3 billion people played computer games, of which 386 million were in Europe. That’s why Samsung created the Game Bar feature – a control bar that allows you to fully control the parameters and optimize the game environment. Among the options are speed refresh, positioning the game window. And to complete the experience, the screen can be adjusted to a ratio of 32: 9 – like a real gaming computer.
To stay in shape, we must not forget sports. Here comes to the aid of our new virtual trainer, who through a camera mounted on the TV, monitors whether we perform our exercises correctly and whether we have performed the required number of series. It then gives the information to the Samsung Health app and it transfers the data to our phone or smart watch so we always know how many calories we have burned.
Samsung has also thought about the environment. In addition to continuing its policy of responsible production to reduce carbon emissions and create more energy-efficient products, the company is already paying attention to packaging. They will be free of color pictures, which make the paper difficult to recycle. Instead, the packaging will be like a matrix of white dots, which will once again unleash the user’s imagination – it can become a toy or furniture. A new remote was also introduced, charging from light – natural or from a lamp. It will not have lithium-ion batteries, and if necessary it can be charged with USB.
This year, Samsung will present two more new models – The Premiere, which will be aimed specifically at moviegoers, and The Terrace. The second model completely breaks the imagination and comes out of the box – literally, as it is designed for outdoor viewing, on the terrace or in the yard.
They are all part of Samsung’s Lifestyle TV series, which last year settled in our home and merged with the interior. The Frame continues to grow sales thanks to its role as a work of art – we can choose from 1,200 pictures to appear on the screen when the device is turned off. And to fit any home, its frame is also a color of your choice. The successor to The Frame will be presented later this year.
