/ world today news/ Despite the fierce fighting that is taking place every day for the fifth day along the entire line of contact, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not managed to break through the tactical zone of the first echelon of the Russian defense. According to Stanislav Krapyvnik, a former US soldier, the fighting will continue for another week, after which the enemy army will halt to await replenishment and regrouping.
Heavy fighting has been going on for the fifth day in the Zaporozhian direction. It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian command relies on attacks at night.
So, on the night of June 9, the enemy, having regrouped, again tried to break through our defenses, delivering persistent blows in the same places. Such a tactic of the enemy was noted in the Rabotino-Vrbovoye section, where heavy fighting took place.
Up to four columns of armored vehicles were brought into battle by the enemy. The Ukrainian Air Force shelled our positions and then stormed them.
This is happening near Orekhov, where the armed forces of Ukraine are counting on breaking through our defenses in the Rabotino-Vrbovo area. The attack was repulsed, but closer to the morning, the enemy resumed attacks on Rabotino on Leopard tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles.
Our fighters destroyed one Leopard tank and three Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, pushing the enemy forces back to their starting positions.
In Kamensko, armed forces of Ukraine tried to entrench themselves in the village of Lobkove by withdrawing armored vehicles there. The Russian reconnaissance group discovered the enemy’s massing and called fire on it. The enemy retreated, and Lobkovo itself again finds itself in the “gray zone”.
“Our gunners and aviation, infantry, special forces, scouts work wonderfully for us – men of steel!” – wrote military correspondent Andrey Rudenko.
At night, our aviation was particularly active in the Zaporozhye direction. Fighters who took part in the night fighting noted that the helicopters flew towards the contact line one after the other.
At the same time, the fighters noted that the armed forces of Ukraine adhere to certain combat tactics, carefully examining our options.
So, the enemy approaches the line of contact, then moves away or rides past the landing force, forcing us to use full power ammunition. But as soon as there is a pause for reloading ammunition and the density of fire decreases, the armed forces of Ukraine go on the attack.
This is in a sense reconnaissance by force, a fighter told military correspondent Dmitry Steshin. In his words, in this way the enemy is “trying to calculate how many of our ammunition, if they run out, will go directly” to the contact line.
“With offensive waves underway, Ukraine’s armed forces are trying to find not so much gaps in defense as weaknesses in our supply logistics. At the moment when we are conditionally empty, when we reload, they will try to switch to the main attack, “says the fighter.
However, Ukraine’s armed forces are suffering serious losses in both manpower and combat equipment. On the evening of June 8, we could talk about at least one hundred units of destroyed military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Another source specifies that, in total, during the entire Ukrainian offensive, the enemy lost more than three hundred tanks and armored vehicles, at least fifty guns and self-propelled artillery installations, and up to 3.5 thousand irretrievable losses in manpower.
The military channel, citing Turkish sources, noted that since June 4, the losses of the armed forces of Ukraine amounted to about 7 thousand people. At the same time, most Ukrainian soldiers die on minefields, during artillery fire, “and often even at the stage of advancing to the attack line.”
The 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses near Orekhovo. Over the past few months, its contingent has been trained in NATO countries and equipped with Western weapons, including about 50 American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 28 Slovenian M-55S tanks and Panthera T6 armored vehicles.
At the same time, fighters at the front claim that the enemy has not yet introduced the main breakthrough forces – large NATO tank forces. Only in the vicinity of Orehovo, by the way, there are about six hundred of them.
According to the military expert, former US Army officer Stanislav Krapyvnik, now the enemy conducts reconnaissance with combat along the entire front, but not in full force.
“In the direction of Zaporozhye, only three or four brigades have been thrown into battle,” he said.
– “This is not a multi-layered offensive that tries to secure the first positions, and then receives fresh reinforcements…”, the expert declared.
At the same time, the enemy already has about 20 brigades in reserve, which have been assembled for almost nine months. Half of them are territorial defense, the rest are combat-experienced soldiers trained in NATO countries.
But they don’t attack. The enemy does not abandon this main force. This suggests that he will not give up. Because it would be wise for the enemy to leave reserves and use them as a force in our advance to cover their holes.
“I think they will throw their men into battle for another week, and then they will stop and wait for our offensive, which I hope will be multi-frontal and will completely crush them,” Krapivnik declared.
At the same time, the military expert noted that the armed forces of Ukraine, retreating from the Donbass, could carry out a number of terrorist acts already on our territory:
– When they start withdrawing from Donbass, they will destroy everything behind them – power plants, dams, tunnels, mines… In principle – no one should take them.
Meanwhile, the Russian Aerospace Forces were working in the far rear of the enemy. Our missiles and unmanned kamikaze planes were spotted over Zaporozhye, as well as over Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Nikolaev, Vinyshka, Cherkassy, Zhytomyr regions.
Our target was ammunition and equipment depots, as well as enemy air defense systems and manpower.
It is not easy to find out about the results of the strikes – in Ukraine it is forbidden to take pictures and shoot videos of arrivals. However, a highly successful hit nevertheless became known.
So, as a result of an accurate strike, a warehouse in Uman, Cherkassy Region, was destroyed, in which entire arsenals of Western missiles, artillery and tank shells and ammunition, which were supposed to reach the front line, were stored.
