The Turkish brewery places AB InBev in a challenging posture by producing the Leffe in Russia from now on

The indignation for the possible manufacturing of Leffe in Russia is earlier mentioned all on an ethical stage. The European Union has introduced many economic sanctions after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but the export of foods items, such as beer, is not a single of them.

AB InBev as a result of the joint undertaking currently made far more than 75 makes of beer, such as Stella Artois, in eleven unique factories in Russia before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. This will make it the second most profitable brewery in Russia. Only Denmark’s Carlsberg has a much larger current market share, although it introduced its exit from the Russian market this spring.

So much, the Leffe has only been made in Leuven.
