Instead… Instead it’s yet another hoax, a headline that attracts clicks that hides fake news.

Lorella Cuccarini really ended up in the emergency room, but it is a story from many years ago that she herself has repeatedly told in various interviews and which today has been transformed into an urgent rush to the emergency room due to total and sudden amnesia that would have hit the showgirl without apparent explanations. But these are all falsehoods, high-sounding claims just to appear more prominently on the web.
Let’s try to reconstruct the facts as they really went. In several interviews, Cuccarini has told of the risks of the profession of dancer. In 2021 to Corriere della Sera, for example, confessed that she ended up in the emergency room several times for falls and bruises: “In our profession there must be a component of masochism. I remember the times I ended up in the emergency room. From the bruises on my legs it hurt to hold the sheet over them. […] I had black calves. I fell once and hit the back of my neck“. The fall referred to by Lorella has actually entered the annals of the history of Italian television.

We are in 1986, the year of Fantastic 7, the Saturday evening broadcast of Rai 1, one of the most successful editions of the show hosted by Pippo Baudo. Lorella was the prima ballerina, but she shared the stage with Alessandra Martines, a ballet étoile. Cuccarini is assigned a ballet “Homage to Elvis Presley” where she has to perform a complicated hold. A chain of dancers scroll her as she twirls in the splits. But something gets stuck, the dancer who was supposed to grab her gets confused and leaves her, Lorella falls to the ground, hits her head but as a professional she completes the ballet. Behind the scenes, however, there is concern about that blow to the back of the head and Baudo forces her to go to the emergency room.
Cuccarini often recounted this episode which really caused a sensation at the time. A couple of years ago, a guest at the live life, he confessed the amnesia caused by that fall: “Everything happened to me. They didn’t catch me in an airlock once. One was to take me, the other to leave, the one who was to take me left me. I did this upside down splash, I went to the end but actually I don’t remember what I did. I went to the hospital to get checked out.”
