The bodies of three youths were found in a burnt-out car in a wooded area near the Bulgarian-Serbian border. Versions are checked, whether for a crime or an accident.
Yesterday at noon the police received a report of a burnt out jeep. The car was found in a hard to reach area in a wooded area between two villages.
The report was presented by Nikolay. He and 6 other compatriots and friends of his, all from Omurtag, will leave for Trun on Monday evening. For business.
These are people who collect truffles. The two groups split up and each search in a separate direction. They were last heard from around 4am.
Nikolay Hasinov – brother of one of the dead, was looking for them on the phone, but no one answered.
Both cars have dogs that help with the work. However, the animals in Nikolai’s car are not looking for a truffle, but are heading towards the mountain. Relatives of the dead chased the animals. He saw a car come out with smoke.
They reach the badly burned car. They see that there are bodies inside, but they cannot recognize them.
“We started running. We found the police and stopped them,” says Nikolay.
They returned to the scene with the police and then realized that the victims were the rest of their company. Among them is Nikolai’s brother.
The prosecutor’s office says that it will not rule out either a technical malfunction or a voluntary ignition, a consequence of the action of another person.
However, according to relatives of the deceased, it was no accident.
“They killed or burned them,” says Assen.
One of the main assumptions is that during what happened, the three dead were sleeping. But experts have yet to show what exactly happened.
