The creators of the project went to the trick.
The series “The New Victim” can hardly be called a classic Brazilian melodrama. This project boasts a luxurious detective line, the denouement of which for many viewers remained unknown.
In the center of the plot is a student who decides to become a detective. His job is to find the criminal responsible for several mysterious murders. As befits most soap operas, the picture ends with the wedding of the main characters Irene and Diego. During the celebration, the audience is shown a girl in black, whose fate is unenviable. The heroine goes out into the courtyard, after which she hears a shot and dies.
This is how the series ended, which, apparently, should have a sequel. However, the second part never came out. The Russians also did not see the real ending of the project. It was filmed a few hours before the broadcast, so that information about who became the killer would not have accidentally leaked into the media space. As a result, the tape had two ends: the first version of the ending, where the criminal is named, was broadcast in Brazil, and the second version was broadcast in other countries.
