Workers wrapped the Arc de Triomphe in Paris in shiny cloth. He designed the installation Christo, who died last year, who in the past had similarly wrapped, for example, the historic Berlin building of the Reichstag. The project for about 14 million euros (about 354 million crowns) has now been completed by Christ’s nephew Vladimir Javachev. Workers use up to 25,000 square meters of recyclable plastic material to pack a 50-meter-high 19th-century monument. The art installation will be officially on display from September 18 to October 3.
