This duo had made the Olympic preparation for Tokyo, but missed the qualification, preceded by the duo Rual – Amoros. Next step, Hyères Olympic Week (April 24 – 30). No French women among the top ten in 49er FX.
In men’s kite foil, Théo de Ramecourt kept his first place ahead of the Arcachon native Benoît Gomez, the two have also taken these places in the Medal Race. Nicolas Parlier, another Arcachon native, finished 9th. Among the girls, 2nd place for Lauriane Nolot.
Another podium for the French, 3rd place for Basco-Rochelais Kevin Péponnet and his new teammate Aloïse Retnornaz, in this series of 470 (double dinghy) which became mixed after Tokyo. Sixth in the Medal Race, they finished behind the Spaniards Xammar-Brugmann and the Italians Ferrari-Caruso.
The 3rd blue gold medal came as expected from Hélène Noesmen, who flew the test of IQ Foil, the new flying windsurf board for Paris 2024. She finished with a very comfortable lead after winning six of the 18 heats plus the Medal Race.
