The trial is resumed against a builder and two directors of Pastor, accused of fraud | Radio Coruña

In the second room of the Superior Court, the trial was held today against two directors of Banco Pastor in 2007 and the constructor Manuel Gómez Landeira, accused of cooperating in a fraud against the owner of the company Hierros Añón. The Prosecutor points out that Manuel Añón, the investor, lost more than one million euros in this operation to purchase some farms in Madrid. Landeira, then owner of the construction company Conservera Celta, has denied the facts today. The Public Ministry asks for each of the three defendants three years in prison.

The accused builder has affirmed that it was the two directors of the Bank who introduced him to Manuel Añón and that it was he who proposed to sign a mortgage loan for the operation of the purchase of land in Colmenar. He added that Añón would keep 50% of the value of the land, if he breached the terms of the agreement. The Prosecutor maintains that the directors of the Bank benefited from this operation, endorsing Landeira despite having a debt of almost 80 million euros with the financial institution.
