The treatment of waste from Capistes is becoming more and more expensive – Capsizun

While the distribution of yellow bags by the Community of Municipalities of Cap-Sizun (CCCSPR) has just ended. Elected officials voted for the 2021 waste management budget at the last community council, which took place on Thursday.

11,088 tonnes of waste for 2020

This budget is increasingly costing the community, since it represents € 3,297,500 million in 2021 forecasts (€ 2,924,290 in 2020).

Henri Goardon, vice-president, made an inventory. “For 2020, the tonnages of waste recorded for the Pont-Croix and Primelin waste collection centers were down with 11,088 tonnes (12,858 tonnes in 2019), there were fewer inputs, impacted by the opening of the professional waste collection center in Plouhinec. Were collected 4,853 tonnes of green waste (5,410 tonnes in 2019), 3,064 tonnes of inert rubble (4,011 t), 456 tonnes of bulky waste (528 t), 630 tonnes for incineration (669 t), 1,001 tonnes of wood (1,043 t), 351 tonnes of scrap metal (389 t), 108 tonnes of cardboard boxes (121 t), 18 tonnes of hazardous waste (10 t), six tonnes of waste oil (12 t), among others ” .

Capistes poor pupils of selective sorting

For the collection of waste from residents, the CCCSPR provides yellow bags for € 35,000 per year for 16,000 Capistes. Sorting refusals were significant with 17.82% refusals in 2020 (17.02% in 2019). In 2016, Capistes were more rigorous with only 12%.

The revenue from the household waste collection tax (TEOM) recorded is € 2.41 million. For 2021, with an increase of 2%, the TEOM should amount to € 2.48 million.

For the third time, the community of municipalities will relaunch a local waste prevention program with actions aimed at residents.
